Tawanda holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) degree from the University of Zimbabwe obtained in 2018 and has been in private practice since his registration as a legal practitioner in March 2019. He is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Commercial Law with the University of Zimbabwe. Prior to joining private practice, Tawanda interned at the Food Federation and Allied Workers Union (FFAUZ), a local trade union, where he gained invaluable insight and experience in employment law. At the University of Zimbabwe, Tawanda was instrumental in the founding of the Zimbabwe Commercial Law Students Forum, a growing student body that has spearheaded the holding of seminars, workshops and moot courts all on the various facets of commercial law. Tawanda is a sharp and tenacious legal mind whose areas of interest include financial markets and securities law, commercial and corporate law, labour law and civil litigation. He is also passionate about providing legal advisory services to entrepreneurs and emerging companies and in assisting these entities to achieve growth by setting up robust legal structures and through an innovative application of the law.
